Discovering the Gospel of Luke

Chapter 13

1. How does Jesus' teaching that ‘our situation in life is NOT a result of our sins’ sit with you? If this is true, why do bad things happen to good people?

2. Some scholars say that the parable of the fig tree, which Jesus intended for Israel, could also apply to us today, individually and as a church or country. In that case what ‘fruit’ should we be producing? (see Galatians 5:22-23 and Matthew 9:35-38; Luke 10:2; John 4:35-38)

3. What would we have to do to make repentance a way of life?
