1. In the culture during the time of Luke, people placed a lot of their dependence on wealth, social status, and religious status. What are some things in our culture that people tend to depend on? What are some things we might personally place our dependence on?
2. When it comes to the idea of inclusion in eternal life, why is the merit or observance-based perspective such an easy trap to fall into?
3. In verses 29 and 30, Jesus talks about how one will be repaid many times over in this life when they give things up for the Kingdom of God. What are some ways in which God might repay us in this life?
4. In your group, and based on what we've already read in Luke up until now, what are some of the values of the Kingdom of God?
