1. Why did Jesus ride into Jerusalem, fulfilling prophecies about the Messiah, knowing some would abandon and betray Him?
2. What does it say about God’s character that Jesus weeps at the thought of the people of Israel’s eventual rebellion against Rome and their destruction? It would be easy to say they are just getting what they deserve even when Jesus is offering a better alternative.
3. Many cite Jesus’ outburst against the money changers, sellers of sacrifices, and the Religious leaders as justification for expressing anger and even resorting to violence when societal norms deviate from Jesus’ teachings. How does Jesus’ response differ?
